written by: Michele Nuckolls
Tuttle Twins books for ages 5-11 are coming to a library near you!
Praise God! Four sets of the Tuttle Twins books for this age group are being distributed to all seven public libraries in Montgomery County. You will find the list below along with several other books recently placed, but first, we say thank you.
THANK YOU to everyone who signed and shared the petition. Thank you for PRAYING!!! Some of you went above and beyond and took paper copies of the petition to your groups of friends and mailed me the signatures. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We did it y’all!
THANK YOU to the commissioners and judge. These copies could be purchased by the county because these men voted unanimously to expand the approved vendors list in order to provide options for ordering conservative children’s books. Furthermore, it was Judge Keough who specifically included that the Tuttle Twins should be placed, thank you again. Thank you, Commissioner Walker for advocating for these books. It is under the leadership of these men that these changes are happening.
THANK YOU to Rhea Young and our library administrators for placing these books and for allowing other conservative books to be donated. I know your staff works hard to make our libraries a place where we can all come and find books to share with our families. I appreciate your willingness to bring balance and include these books. Our libraries are places we want to be, thank you for making them welcoming and whimsical places of wonder and excitement.
Why is this important?
This is important because children are literally the future. Children learn through stories, and it is important for parents in our county (the reddest county in Texas) to have access to books that instill conservative values.
(Socialists understand this, and that is why library systems everywhere seem to be designed to keep conservative literature out of children’s sections. It’s brilliant, and it’s been in the works for decades, but more on that for another post.)
Other conservative books being placed:
I previously announced that God Made Boys and Girls: helping children understand the gift of gender by Marty Machowski was being ordered to balance the many, hundreds of gender books found in our libraries. Three of the four copies were purchased by the county and will be placed in the following libraries: Central Library - Conroe, RF Meador Library - Willis, and RF Meador Library - Willis. The fourth copy will be cataloged soon. **Thank you Commissioner Walker for advocating for these books
Additionally, a new set of Rush Revere books written by Rush Limbaugh, a children’s historical fiction series, has been placed at the South Branch Library. These books were donated by The Friends of the Library. Thank you so much to this wonderful non-profit organization.
Here are the Tuttle Twins books:
The underlined book titles will link you directly to the MCMLS catalog so you can place a hold. The book descriptions are taken directly from the Tuttle Twins website: www.tuttletwins.com
All of these books have engaging stories with color pictures on every page. My kids love them and happily read them independently.

Incorporating key concepts from the classic Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt, this book helps young readers learn about business, regulations, economics, protectionism, competition, and other basic market principles. The Tuttle Twins and the Road to Surfdom

Unfortunately, these unintended consequences are never anticipated, and rarely considered once they occur. As the Tuttle Twins find in their latest adventure, central planning can ruin people’s lives.
Nobel prize winning economist F.A. Hayek’s famous book The Road to Serfdom comes to life in this edition, showing that people get what they wish for, they often get much more than they bargained. The Tuttle Twins and the Golden Rule

Competing teams turn into fighting rivals, but Chief Ron and his camp counselors help the twins and their teammates learn the dangers of aggression, revenge, and blowback—and why peace and friendship are important!

The Tuttle Twins and the Search for Atlas
What happens when hard-working people quit?
In a world filled with consumers, what happens if the producers give up and leave? And how can people better practice personal responsibility and not have a sense of entitlement about the things they think they deserve?
Ethan and Emily Tuttle tackle these questions in their latest adventure, this time as clowns in the visiting circus. Incorporating ideas from Ayn Rand’s hit novel Atlas Shrugged, this book shows how things begin falling apart when socialism creeps in. Join the clown twins as they try to figure out where Atlas went—and more importantly, why he left.

The Tuttle Twins and their Spectacular Show Business
How does a child become an entrepreneur?
While most people prefer the relative safety of working at a job for somebody else, others are more interested in the independence, excitement, and creative problem solving that are all part of starting your own business and being an entrepreneur.
But as Ethan and Emily Tuttle learn in their latest adventure, being an entrepreneur isn’t easy—especially when you’re up against some tough competition. Join the twins as they dive into the ins and outs of becoming business owners, solving the many problems that pop up along the way!

The Tuttle Twins and the Fate of the Future
The history of the world is a tale of some people bossing others around, but brave thinkers have always offered ideas for a better future where people use persuasion instead. And after Ethan and Emily watch a dystopian film portraying a future full of coercion, they realize that they need to learn how to avoid it.
Enter Murray Rothbard, author of Anatomy of the State, whose book teaches the Tuttle Twins that the fate of the future—and all of humanity—depends on thinking of ways we can work together peacefully, to build a better society without relying on coercion.

The Tuttle Twins and the Education Vacation
Ethan and Emily Tuttle have spent several years in school being graded on the quality of their work. But after hearing an award-winning teacher discuss some problems with schooling and share a vision for how children are best educated, the Tuttle family decides to embark on a new learning adventure.
Long-time educator John Taylor Gatto shares ideas with the Tuttle family from his book The Underground History of American Education. As they soon learn, education works best when we have the freedom to discover our interests and develop our abilities, rather than being shaped into what somebody else wants.

Now that they’ve made some money, Ethan and Emily Tuttle begin to wonder how they can put it to good use and earn even more. So the idea of a Children’s Entrepreneur Market is born, which can help them find other kids who might want to borrow their money to build their small business.
But as the twins soon learn—thanks to the ideas from Human Action by Ludwig von Mises—this is risky business. People have different incentives for why they make the choices they do, and certain choices can cause their market to become messed up!

The Tuttle Twins and the 12 Rules Boot Camp
Life doesn’t come with a manual, but there are some helpful rules that one can follow in their life to be set up for success. That’s something that the Tuttle twins have been taught by their parents— and something they teach to their Uncle Brock in their new adventure.
Inspired by the popular 12 Rules for Life written by Jordan Peterson, this story sees the twins organize a boot camp for Brock to help him see the power of these ideas—and how each of the ideas is like an ingredient that, when mixed together, can lead to great results!
