UPDATED, Kirk Cameron won't make it, but BRAVE Books is planning an amazing event, but first Marxism is mainstream, and they aren't even hiding it anymore.

The ALA hired an openly Marxist to be their PRESIDENT, and she isn't hiding what she's up to.

We touched on this in last week’s post, but there is more. In case you missed it last week, Emily Drabinski, president of the American Library Association (an association our libraries and librarians have close ties to), is openly Marxist. In fact, she recently attended the largest socialist conference in the country where she was caught on tape lamenting about her hopes and dreams for socialist organizing in the libraries. Why don’t you hear it for yourself. Here it is, in full, from the reporter who broke the story:

Well, one of our VERY FAVORITE BRAVE Book authors picked up the story, Jack Posobiec! Here he is speaking with Kirk Cameron.

Let’s get Jack’s book into more libraries!

In light of this recent information, Brave Books is holding a special promotion of the book, The Island of Free Ice Cream. Add two copies at checkout and use the promo code "GETONEGIVEONE". Take that free copy and deliver it to your local public library. If you live in Montgomery County, our libraries already have a copy, so you could ask them if they will place another copy, OR you can ask a TEACHER if she will place the copy in her classroom library. Another idea is to donate it to your school library.

Kirk Cameron comes to The Woodlands!

Oh but there’s more, Kirk Cameron is coming to THE WOODLANDS!!! He will be reading the Brave Book, The Island of Free Ice Cream, by Jack Posobiec.  This book warns of the dangers of communism.  On the island, wolves come and tell the citizen animals that they can have free ice cream for all if the citizens let the wolves be in charge.  This adorable, exciting, kid friendly book helps children understand that when something sounds too good to be true it might just be that.

The opposition

In an interesting turn of events, we will have a group that appears to be identifying with Marxism (??) planning to petal free ice cream to children at the park next door as a protest to this read aloud event. There is no hiding it anymore… We couldn’t make this stuff up folks.

The Tuttle Twins

Meanwhile, we are still waiting for the Tuttle Twins (tuttletwins.com) to be placed at our libraries. Could it be that the free-market ideas aren’t welcome in our libraries, or is there a logical explanation? 72 days after the approved vendors list was expanded, (as directed by the Commissioner’s Court) so our tax dollars could pay for conservative books (as we already pay for woke books) and the Tuttle Twins books are nowhere to be found. It is important to note that the Commissioners Court specifically addressed the Tuttle Twins in this unanimously approved motion. Do all conservative books have to be donated? Are our tax dollars only for books approved by woke literary journals and award lists? Time will tell. Of course, we will keep you updated.
